Le Pardon de La Baule is the oldest cultural event in the city. In other words, it is an institution and, as such, an event not to be missed. Created in 1947, this year it celebrates its 72nd anniversary. Le Pardon de la Baule closes the Breton cultural days which last 6 days. On the programme: Breton music concerts, a fest-noz, a Celtic circle parade, a ringers' competition, a show. This festival welcomes about 20,000 people each year, and is held mainly in the Dryades park and in the La Baule-Les Pins district.
