LE BAR DACQUOIS
Friendly bar offering classic bistro dishes, traditional and regional cuisine depending on the chef's mood.
In this pedestrian street in the heart of the historic centre, the Bar Dacquois shows its differences. With a touch of the 1950s, it seems as if time has stood still here: Formica counter, wooden bistro tables and chairs, a large mirror, numerous photos of Bayonne from another era, posters of the Bayonne festivities... Since 1926, this institution has been bringing its followers together in a relaxed atmosphere. At noon, around classic bistro dishes on slate, according to the chef's mood, you will find good traditional and regional cuisine: omelette with ceps, country salad, chipirons à la plancha, Bask Burger, entrecote steak with roquefort sauce, axoa... Desserts are homemade and in the evening, no catering but from 6pm to midnight, various tapas: foie gras with peaches, apple pudding, plates of cold meats, cazuelas ... to be enjoyed during early evening aperitifs or the overheated third half, the evenings of rowing matches. An appreciable stopover where warmth and conviviality are the signature.
