The Bayonne-Côte Basque Regional Orchestra is made up primarily of teachers from the Conservatoire National de Région and surrounding schools. The artistic direction of the orchestra is ensured by the director of the Conservatoire and the programming is established in close consultation with the musician-teachers. Since September 2007, the orchestra has been on the Web. And in line with a desire to broaden its audiences, the orchestra continues to "weave its web" with new partners and neighbours, the Maurice Ravel Conservatory, with the National Stage of Bayonne and Southern Aquitaine, numerous schools, colleges and high schools, the public, on the occasion of about fifteen pre-concerts that allow the audience to meet the works and their performers. Each year, the season offers about ten concerts. In 2020, the Symphony Orchestra will continue its journey through the Basque Country and from town to town, it will meet children and seniors in the places where they live with an even more eclectic programme.
