A busy recycling path linking the center of Bayonne to La Concha, the estuary esplanade

From the Pont Saint-Esprit to the port, via the small Place du Réduit and its identically rebuilt watchtower, inaugurated in 2002, the Adour is everywhere. A 307.1-km-long river of the Aquitaine basin, its source is in the Pic du Midi de Bigorre massif. A popular cycle path runs from the center of Bayonne to the "Concha", the estuary esplanade, providing access to the long beaches of Anglet, the Chiberta forest and on to Biarritz. And with bike rental services for everyone along the way.

Longer L'adour jusqu'à la Barre
Longer l'Adour après son confluent avec la Nive sur ses berges du Pont Saint Esprit à la Barre, quand ses eaux rejoignent les eaux de l'océan est une promenade riche d'intérêt. On y voit les installations portuaires , un lit qui se rétrécit en été, des entreprises et des maisons basques On arrive à la fin des terres au pied du sémaphore où le vent reprend l'appel du large.
