LE MOULIN D'ORCUN - BREAD MUSEUM
Water mill of the century, built on the Gabarret stream in Bédous.
An old forge, this 18th century water mill, built on the Gabarret stream, is the last in the valley. It was brought back into operation by Jean-Jacques Bellegarde, who represents the sixth generation, and it is with a true love for this place that he tells you its history and explains how it works. During a pleasant visit, from maintenance to the use of the equipment and the making of the flour, the mill will have no more secrets for you! Recently, bread and cakes have also been made here, in the wood-fired oven, according to a secret recipe. Fresh fruit or vegetable juices and organic sourdough breads and spelt breads, obviously made on the spot, are among the products on sale. A fast food service is also available on request. Resolutely organic, vegetarian meals are possible: just ask for it. Those who would like to prolong the enchantment can rent the mill gîte, ideal for four people, which offers a magnificent view of the Aspe valley.
