LE BOUCHE À OREILLE
Restaurant offering various pig dishes and a menu based on fresh, home-made products.
You can't miss Léon, the friendly pig who greets you outside Bouche à Oreille. Léon and his fellow pigs are the stars of this restaurant, a real Lyonnais bouchon set up just off Place Graslin. In addition to the nods to the pig in the decor, it's the plates that really stand out. Frank and Eric, master restaurateurs, offer a fine menu based on fresh, homemade products. For starters, there's the inevitable plate of cochonnailles, homemade terrine with pistachios and crispy Curé Nantais. Main courses include confit pork pavé, herb-crusted rack of lamb or the 400g maxi grilled andouillette! If pigs are good for everything, Bouche à oreille also offers a fine choice of beef, from tartare to entrecote, including burgers and fish such as pike quenelles with Nantua sauce. To finish on a sweet note, our homemade chocolate profiteroles, brioche perdu all caramel au beurre salé or pavlova with red fruits, are gourmet and delicious. From the famous pot lyonnais to muscadet or beaujolais, the wine list is enhanced by monthly suggestions on chalkboards. A good address for hearty meals in a friendly atmosphere.
