LA CANNE A SUCRE
Friendly address where the chef offers his suggestions for traditional Creole cuisine
La Canne à Sucre, you will eat less for the framework than for the very warm welcome of Mr. and Mrs. Mensah. The chef comes in person with his suggestions with laughter and good humour. A table, Creole tradition settles, with its acras, colombo, chicken maffé… This is family and traditional cuisine. Lovers of the Caribbean can rejoice: the establishment has launched the sale to take advantage of the 4 licence, so does not close the day. The right plan: on the website, a good print is printed to get a free IT-punch drink before your meal.

We had drinks, appetizers, main course and dessert. The host was friendly and relaxed. He spoke English and French fluently, and joked around with us and our kids. Some menu options were not available. We tried everything that was, and we loved the food. Even my picky children found something that they loved to eat. The spicy sauce was on fire and delicious. The home made ice cream is to die for, and my kids wanted to come back before the end of the meal. The atmosphere was reminiscent of our stays in the french Caribbean. I would not eat here when in a hurry. We had a lovely time. Definitely recommended.
