Thai restaurant with fast and cheap formulas, a menu of Thai and Vietnamese specialties
In the Manufacture district is a small Thai restaurant with seats where the Buddha portraits share space with some dancers in their traditional sarong. At lunchtime, May Lan offers the well-known quick and cheap formulas where you can taste nems, Vietnamese salad, crab soup, caramel chicken, spices or onions, doughnuts and candied fruits or fruits. The whole thing is most honest, just judging by the people who have made their canteen and returning to them, signs that the kitchen is good. But May Lan also offers a nice map of Vietnamese and Thai specialities that deserve attention. For example, there is a xeo xeo, Vietnamese crepe topped with soya and pork, a bun or a half xao, crispy noodles to shrimp and beef. Citronella beef salad is just delicious, idem for Thai phad or mok kai, vapeur chicken foil. The service is fast and smiling, and the addition is quite honest. A little address to keep in a corner of its calepins.

The cuisine is very fine (contrary to some Asian restaurants where you feel that all bathes in oil).
Spring rolls, the Peking duck, bo bun... a delight!
The welcoming is warm. Asian setting with a contemporary twist and simple is very pleasant.
Excellent value (evening menu from €12.50).
Remember to book at the end of the week, the restaurant is quite small.
An address not to be missed!
