Forget the ham-butter or tomato-mozza panini, and switch to banh-mi, the Vietnamese sandwich whose translation literally means: sandwich bread. To be precise, one could say that it is rather a Franco-Vietnamese sandwich: in a fresh half stick spread with a thin layer of mayonnaise, cucumbers, coriander leaves and grated carrots marinated in rice vinegar go with a few pieces of beef, chicken, pork or Vietnamese pâté, depending on your choice.
