A rich menu with an Italian flavour in an exotic place in the heart of Nantes.
A piece of Ireland in the heart of Nantes is Beckett's. You can have a drink, lunch, and why not review your classic literature: Beckett (of course!), Yeats, Swift, U'brien. Mark, the boss (and his charming irish accent that animates his friendly establishment), has reinvented the Irish tradition of the pub in our good old city. A warm place made of disparate furniture, posters and music (groove, jazz, rock and a boss who often sings in chorus). The menu is rich in varieties with an Italian, Anglo-Saxon, Spanish, Indian or French tendency. A happy melting pot, then. You can try a beef wok with Asian noodles and crispy vegetables with sesame and coriander flavours, a tasty green curry chicken with flavoured rice, a saffron goat cheese risotto with pepper, small herbs and dried tomatoes, a pea soup and chicken muffin. Everything is home made and absolutely delicious. Salad is also international: a Thai salad with roasted chicken and coriander, spicy beef salad or ploughmans salad, a mixture of 3 cheeses and speck ham. To finish with a sweet touch and for the pleasure of pronouncing it: killer cheesecake ginger and lime, apple crumble or chocolate cake. A change of scenery for an immobile journey in the heart of Nantes. Very popular at lunchtime, it is highly recommended to book. An excellent address.
