Bar-restaurant offering traditional cuisine mixed with herbs and spices.
A few steps from the island's machines, three more from the courthouse and adjacent to the Blockhouse, the Point Bar is located in the very heart of the island of Nantes. This bar-restaurant with a charming wood and stone setting offers traditional cuisine with herbs and spices. Every day the chef renews his slate of formulas. You can eat fish or meat from day to day in grilled meats, for example, or in the form of dishes prepared like the sweet stew of lamb mouse. Lovers of good wines will not be disappointed with the proposed choice (mainly small producers). Those who love good music are familiar with this place, hosted by a team of friends, whose good humour is about the clientele. In the evening, the house offers dishes or bistro dishes for rates ranging from 7 to 15 €. Exhibitions, concerts and conferences are at the program, to enjoy growing!

Was in Brittany visiting friends for two weeks and was flying out of Nante - a city I'd never visited. Had 7 hours to explore before my flight back to London and came across this place while having a wander on the island in the middle of the river.
It's a great bar with an eclectic crowd. I was there on a Thursday for Aperol and it was busy but a really diverse crowd. Many alternatives. Great place for musicians, artists, performers, writers, actors etc. But it was a mixed crowd too, which blended great.
Bloke behind the bar was super friendly and spoke exceptional English (with an English accent).
However, if the most important is the beer quality and great prices - then this is the bar for you. Exception beer.
All round fab place and highly recommend it for those looking for authenticity, vibe and good beer
