Canteen offering fast food for a healthy cuisine based on seasonal products
In the northern district of Nantes, on the border of Orvault, is this canteen, open only at midday. Created by two passionate women, it offers a fast, affordable, healthy cuisine based on seasonal products from local producers. The famous portrait of Albert Einstein sticking out his tongue is there to put the customer at ease. The simplicity of the decoration, the warm welcome and the many regulars make it a reference address in the neighbourhood. On the menu, you have the choice between the dish of the day such as this veal tendron with lemon, rosemary and sage and the large plate consisting of a tart, a coleslaw type salad and a homemade soup? The desserts, presented in verrines, such as the vanilla panna cotta with raspberry coulis or apple compote are delicious and very fresh. And if you're a beer lover, don't miss the homemade beer from Baribale. And as it is written on a section of the wall: "after the comfort, a little effort, I put down my tray"! An effort that Albert Einstein would consider all relative by putting a good mark on this fast and greedy canteen which enjoys a very ingenious concept! Attention: no reservation possible, so please do not arrive too late...
