LE CASCABEL BRASSERIE
Convivial brasserie offering simple cuisine on a very reasonable budget.
Le Cascabel is the title of a little-known novel by Jules Verne recounting the saga of César Cascabel. In Nantes, it's above all a friendly brasserie with a decor made up of nods to the world of our Nantes novelist. At lunchtime on weekdays, Cascabel offers fine brasserie cuisine on a very reasonable budget. To start, toast with honey-roasted camembert. Next, braised beef chuck Burgundian style with linguine, or the veggie option: bruschetta, French fries and salads. Desserts also include tarte bourdaloue, almond crème brûlée and fruit salad. Good, simple, affordable and well-made!
