Brunch and gastronomic cuisine with local products in a restaurant with a bar, bistro and terrace in front of the old Palais de Justice in Nantes.
Facing the former Courthouse and Carré Lafayette, this elegant neo-bistro perfectly combines minimalist chic with decorative style and a falsely traditional menu with gastronomic accents. We like the checkered shirts of the waiters and the (subtle!) variation of colours in each of the three rooms: the deep blue of the restaurant, the immaculate white of the bar and the saffron red of the bistro. As for the plates, Tanguy Rattier (former second in Atlantis) works and proposes a gourmet menu featuring local and seasonal products. Among the classic dishes reinvented by the young chef, we start with the classic organic snails from the Vendée countryside, raised and stuffed by M. Royer, or the most original sea bream tartar flavoured with passion-lime, lime, impregnable and rosemary flavours, before continuing with a tournedos of baked hake, Paimpol coconut, pata negra ham, lemon, capers or duck breast from Valteau beet pulp and crumble coffee, shiitaké and juice with pedro ximene... And to finish, you can enjoy a purely Nantes wink: "Le Petit Coiffard" (which is the 1st prize in the "Coiffard" bookstore competition): rum baba topped with a chocolate sphere topped with a creamy banana or the gourmet "Comme un donut au chocolat".... For those in a hurry, the bistro offers snacks with croq', foie gras or cheese platters. During the day, don't hesitate to come and have a drink and on Sundays, it's brunch day! We like the large terrace which offers a pleasant break in the heart of the city
