A short, fresh and tasty menu, and an excellent welcome.

Le Bistrot des Enfants Nantais, you will find it in the heart of the lively Saint-Donatien district. The quality of its cuisine, the very smiling welcome of its owner, and the sober and intimate decoration make this bistro very friendly and pleasant. This restaurant is privatizable and can be adapted to family or company events. The menu of the day for lunch is set on small slates with a choice of two starters, two main courses and two desserts. The short menu with its typically French dishes suggests a great freshness by highlighting seasonal products. Looking for an egg casserole with chorizo, a cassolette of snails with garlic butter, a pan-fried veal kidneys in a bordelaise sauce, a beef fillet with three berries sauce, a sole meunière, a thin apple pie and caramel ice cream or homemade profiteroles or a chocolate fondant and vanilla ice cream? nous sommes du quartier et nous allez à l'improviste un soir pour le découvrir, le resto était presque complet : bon signe. En effet très bon accueil et la suite fut parfaite, de la vraie cuisine française. Nous y retournerons et nous vous le conseillons et faite une réservation !!

I have to eat lunch at this 3 others of my colleagues in this bistro that I did not know. It is not very large, there are about a dozen tables of 4 places. I did not see if there are more tables at the back of the room. As for the reception, a very pleasant owner explained the menu of the week. We took all the menu of the week (starter + main course + dessert) for €14.50. In this menu of the week, you have the choice between 2 starters, 2 main courses, and 2 desserts. Inevitably, and every week, that changes. It is not expensive for the quality of the meal. I took an entrance with goat cheese with courgettes, a sauté pork curry with a sweet potato puree, and finally a sort of chocolate cake. The shares were well-proportioned, and there is also the quantity. The strong point that I remember, is that they really cook. I mean that it is not frozen or the empty. My colleagues and i, we have all be pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meal. It must be said that we were recommended by other colleagues, and it is sure, we will go back...
