THE FRENCHIE
Nice establishment with a modern and cosy decoration and a nice terrace in Nantes.
It is at the corner (corner) of Bon secours and Kervégan street, that The Frenchie made its nest. This pretty establishment, with its two beautiful rooms with a modern and cosy decoration and its two terraces, offers an original concept: the restaurant that sublimates duck meat in all its forms. And it's a success! The meat comes from ducks reared by Valteau producers in the Auberge de l'Hermitage, in Bressuire, in the Deux Sèvres. This breeding is respectful of poultry: mular ducks are raised in the traditional way and fed with whole grain corn. And for our greatest pleasure, The Frenchie cooks the duck in a thousand ways: as an appetizer we opt for the delicious gravlax (duck breast cooked in salt, buckwheat cream...), the surprising makis, the buckwheat flour and spinach ravioli... On the flat side, we melt for the classic smoked duck breast with hay and its dark chocolate sauce, we enjoy the duck tartare with hazelnuts, wasabi and apples or the dreaded Frenchie Burger which combines duck confit, a red onion chutney and truffle mayo. Finally, we finish with a very neat dessert: the (misnamed) tarte ratée with lemon curd or the pav lov': its meringue and caramelized apples.
