Restaurant inviting you to discover the creative cuisine of the chef and the blind menu in the evening with local products
It is under this name of Korean bay, which means fruit with five flavours, that the young chef Romain Bonnet opened his restaurant in September 2019 in place of La Raffinerie. He worked there, with Ronan the sommelier who follows him on this adventure, after having made his mark at the Manoir de la Boulaie and the Manoir de la Régate. In the meantime he trained in Paris at Le Balzac with Pierre Gagnaire, at the Table du Lancaster and arrives straight from the Scène Thélème. From this journey to the starry land, he invites you to discover his creative cuisine sublimated by a perfect balance between salty, sweet, sour, bitter and spicy. A real showcase of a thousand flavours set with a pretty glass roof opening onto the transparent kitchen behind which hides a small private lounge. In this airy and modern setting with a few touches of colour, come and taste the menu of the refined menu renewed each week according to local products in partnership with fishermen, breeders and market gardeners who share his passion for quality. A real delight of surprising combinations with, for example, a gazpacho of yellow melon/feta/fresh basil at lunchtime, followed by a salmon confit with olive oil flavoured with citrus fruits/dill/fennel, concluded divinely by a crunchy caramel salted butter/white/peanutse chocolate. In the evening, try the menu experience blindly. A wonder for the pupils, a delight for the taste buds!
