HANDBALL CLUB NANTES HBC
HBC Nantes was founded in 1953. Since 2016, Le H, as it is known, has been a major club in France and Europe, and represents the pride of Nantes sport. Under the presidency of Gaël Pelletier, the club with the three ermines has risen to the highest level, combining sporting performance and budget structuring, while investing massively in the training of young players. The training center has nurtured the likes of O'Brian Nyateu, Nicolas Tournat, Romain Lagarde, Dragan Pechmalbec, and more recently Thibaud Briet and Théo Monar, to name but a few.
A training project that is the best way to compete with European heavyweights. Since 2022, Grégory Cojean has been the coach of this team, led by top scorer Valero Rivera. Season after season, HBC Nantes continues to develop its long-term, ambitious club project. Involved in the European Cup for 12 consecutive seasons, the "H" even reached the Final Four in Cologne in 2018 and 2021. Supported by the city, the department, the region, loyal partners, an extraordinary public and dedicated volunteers, HBC Nantes attracts almost 6,000 people to each home match.
The slogan #WeHfamily sums up the club's determination to unite the most loyal community of handball supporters in France. Attending HBC Nantes matches is a guarantee of extraordinary entertainment and atmosphere. The club's values of respect, fighting spirit and solidarity apply on the floor as they do in everyday life.
