CERCLE DE L'AVIRON DE NANTES
The CAN, chaired by Bernard Coupé, has built its reputation in the rowing world for many years. An image of excellence that coexists with the spirit of pleasure, of strolling on small boats in an idyllic setting, the Erdre, just downstream of the bridge of La Tortière in downtown Nantes. Leisure, school, disability and competition: four areas that the club has set up to reach as many people as possible (from the age of ten), with its quota of 132 boats and its four professional instructors, on the site full-time to advise or train. There are also summer internships. Young and old can be initiated, and for those who still hesitate, there is a two-hour discovery package. Companies are also welcome for an original animation "around the rowing" (meeting room, catering, material and equipment provided). And in 2016 at the Rio Olympic Games, it was a bronze medal won by Guillaume Raineau trained here at the CAN! New: come and try Avifit, an innovative and fun activity combining indoor rowing and fitness.
