Located opposite the station, on the south side, the building with its twisted bell tower is remarkable. The aim of this association under the law of 1901 is to offer individualised and adapted training schemes. In the Maison de Nantes young people come from all over France and take advantage of their stay of 6 months to 1 year to prepare for a job in alternating initial or continuing training and obtain a state diploma or a professional title (CAP, BAC Pro, BTS, Licence Pro). These are trades involving materials such as wood, stone, leather with different bodies represented or food trades such as pastry, bakery, charcuterie. Here 146 beds are allocated every year. Immersion in the company 90% of the time allows young people to develop the professional skills necessary to practice their trade. Community life provides them with other skills and know-how, such as participating in household chores (cooking, shopping or cleaning). This open-mindedness, acquired through travel, is a guarantee of adaptability. The lifestyle and social skills acquired within this large family are a real added value. Quite an asset for employers!
