A secular non-profit organization founded in 1970, the Association pour adultes et jeunes handicapés de Loire-Atlantique (Loire-Atlantique Association for Disabled Adults and Young People) promotes the inclusion of disabled people, with a particular focus on school integration. It welcomes people with all forms of disability: sensory, motor, intellectual and multiple handicaps. In concrete terms, it supports 1,800 users, thanks to the work of 420 employees in 17 establishments and services in Nantes and Saint-Nazaire. At the same time, it has created the Handiclap Festival, from March to July.
