ESEAN (Établissement de Santé pour Enfants et Adolescents de la région Nantaise) is a hospital located in Nantes. Managed by APF France handicap, it opened its doors in 2010 and is Europe's first wooden-structured hospital. It has 55 conventional hospital beds and 30 day hospital beds. The facility provides specialized care in a number of medical fields, including musculoskeletal, nervous system, respiratory, digestive, metabolic and endocrine disorders, as well as onco-hematological diseases. Patients are referred by university hospitals or hospital centers.
