Jean-Michel, the president, and the 2,000 volunteers of the Restos du cœur du 44, are there to support people in need, thanks to the various food distribution centers (Dalby, Bénélux...), but that's not all. Restos du cœur de Loire-Atlantique bend over backwards to help, to alleviate everyday worries. With employment advice and workshops, but also well-being (access to a hairdresser) and emergency accommodation with the Maison de Coluche. Not forgetting participation in cultural events, such as the Bal des Restos to be held in June 2022 at the Warehouse in Nantes. Several solidarity initiatives have also been launched, such as the "Plante la vie" operation with Nantes et vous TV and the Edouard Nignon Institute in summer 2022: the aim? Nantes residents buy seeds and shrubs to put flowers in their homes, balconies and communities, and in exchange, the funds raised will finance the purchase of a refrigerated truck for the Restos, which is essential for logistics! La grande Tombola des Restos en 2023, has been supported by donor partners with the aim of raising funds.
How can you help? Become a volunteer and help out with reception, food distribution, supplies, administrative work - all skills are welcome. And donate money: there's no such thing as a small donation. 10 euros means 10 meals, so every euro counts. Visit their website regularly and become a volunteer or support Restos du cœur financially.
