Joca Seria, a "serious game", is a publishing house whose editorial line is devoted to art and literature. Created by Brigitte and Bernard Martin who borrowed the appropriate Latin phrase from the poet Francis Ponge, the structure has existed since 1991. Joca Seria publishes between 10 and 20 books per year and has some 300 titles in its catalogue. In 2013, the house published a novel with Tanguy Viel and high school students in Clichy-sous-Bois.
