CENTRE DE RESSOURCES DOCUMENTAIRES DU MUSÉUM D’HISTOIRE NATURELLE
The Resource Resources Centre consists of: the scientific library (1863), since October 1, 2014, the brand new media library (e. g., youth documentation space, 1974), the library (1991), archives service (1999) and the documentation of collections files (2003). This centre is open to all. It brings together specialized documentation in zoology, geology, botany, ecology, environment, history of science, museology, prehistory… Note, the brand new library is now integrated into the Municipal Library network offering users a common catalogue and the same subscription card. This card allows you to borrow 15 documents from the entire network for a duration of 4 weeks. At the museum, the loan is set at 4 books, 1 Dvds and 1 games, among more than 6 000 references available in loan or on-site consultation. Borrowed documents can be returned to any library in the network, except for games. The scientific library, for its part, is open in free access to any public interested in nature sciences (amateur naturalists, students, researchers). The library has books, journals, scientific articles and maps, divided into two funds: old and contemporary.
