COMMUNE LIBRE DU BOUFFAY
Created by Albert Athimon, this association is an institution of more than 45 years. Its aim is to revive the atmosphere of the 1930s in the Bouffay district. Its motto "Humour, Kindness, Cheerfulness" perfectly conveys the spirit that presides over the philanthropic events intended to enliven this cradle of the city of Nantes. Michel Tizio was elected honorary mayor in 2013. Every year in September, the commune harvests the grapes in a festive atmosphere, the square of vines planted in front of its headquarters. An opportunity to feast and parade through the city centre. Namely, the Commune Libre du Bouffay is twinned with its big sister: the Commune Libre de Montmartre.
