Inaugurated in September 2019, the Maison de l'Europe in Nantes is an association that promotes and supports the initiatives of all European players in Nantes and Loire-Atlantique. It offers information, advice, training and resources to raise citizens' awareness of the major challenges facing Europe today, including a documentation and resource centre open to all citizens, events and debates on European cultures. While highlighting the different cultures of continental Europe, it brings together a range of players in Europe in Loire-Atlantique: twinning committees, cultural associations, youth associations, etc. Among its many missions: it advises and answers citizens' questions about the European Union, its operation, actions and funding, it actively encourages local and regional debate on the European Union and its policies, it collects citizens' concerns and reports to the European institutions on citizens' questions, opinions or suggestions. Among its partners: the Franco-German Cultural Centre (CCFA), the Franco-British Cultural Centre (CCFB), the Franco-Spanish Cultural Centre (CCFE), the Franco-Italian Cultural Centre (CCFI), Alliance Europa and Euradio.
