THE PARK OF THE GAUDINIÈRE
Park located on a hillside in Nantes, with playground equipment for children.
Situated on a hillside and crossed by the Patouillerie stream, this richly wooded 12.5-hectare park was created in the 18th century and bought by the town in 1936. In spring, 300,000 bulbous plants offer the magical spectacle of their blooms: crocuses, narcissi, tulips, hyacinths and rhododendrons. The park retains a wild, mountain-like character, with rock gardens, waterfalls and a large pond. Walkers can extend their discovery of this enchanting site on foot or by bike all along the valley!
