In the Pornichet marina, sailors like to get together at La Galerne to tell their tales of a voyage. The atmosphere is friendly and fun for everyone, of all ages and social backgrounds. In terms of cuisine, the brasserie offers grilled meats, beef tartares, fish and mussels in season, but the speciality is the Retour de Pêche, which, contrary to popular belief, is a chopped steak surrounded by a slice of ham covered with Emmental cheese: a hearty dish inspired by sailors. The food is simple but tasty. A great address.
