The house of Foreign Writers and Translators of Saint-Nazaire (MEET) has been home to writers, writers, poets and translators from all over the world for over twenty years. She awarded them a scholarship and made available an apartment on the th floor of the Building in the port area. Totally immersed in the heart of the city, these writers are invited to create a work, and not necessarily on Saint-Nazaire elsewhere. Since 1982, the MEET publishes the various texts in the author's language and in French. Every year the Laure Battalion Award is delivered to the best book.
