20 minutes from Nantes, the magnificent site of Mazerolles offers an important navigation area on the Erdre. The Club Nautique de Mazerolles has set up shop with all the sails out to glide along what François I considered to be the most beautiful river in France. Open to all, the CNM welcomes children from 8 to 12 years old as well as adults. Approved by the French National Youth and Sport Education Authority and certified by the French Sailing Federation, people come to practice sailing for leisure as well as for competition. Among the equipment available for hire by the club: catamarans (Hobie Cat 16, New Cat 12 and KL 15), dinghies (Laser and 420), windsurfers (Race Board, Fun Board, Polyvalente), canoes, schooners, paddles. The club also offers the boat license: coastal, river and offshore. Or come and consolidate your sailing skills, if you already have a licence. Certain navigation notions or technical elements are reviewed such as moorings, the departure and arrival of a buoy or a pontoon, manoeuvring in reverse, anchoring, safety manoeuvres. Thanks to the CNM, you can rediscover the beautiful Mazerolles plain seen from the Erdre. A little extra: the recently renovated nautical base has picnic tables and a vast green space where you can relax and unwind before heading out on the water.
