MYRIAGONE
In this new café-library with a very alternative flavour, Andréa, the young owner, applies the same ethics to his drinks menu as he does to his range of books. In-house choices, where quality and authenticity prevail. You don't come here to drink pint after pint (the place doesn't serve alcohol), but to sip delicious freshly squeezed fruit juices, most of them organic, smoothies with mouth-watering combinations, milkshakes and homemade iced teas, on the terrace or inside. In fact, almost everything here is homemade. "There's no question of giving money to the big soda brands," explains Andréa. No bubbles or overly sweet drinks here, and when he subcontracts, our alter-barman obviously goes local, taking his tea from Tencha, a store located 30 metres from his own, and his coffee from Brûlerie de la Maine, in Étriché. All this is accompanied by tasty homemade pastries: mint-chocolate brownies, lemon-ginger cakes, always served with the same smile... An authentic, endearing and rare place.
