RESONNANCE
Founded 30 years ago, the association Resonnance has created unexpected encounters between dancers with different bodies and handicaps to create contemporary dance performances. Her founder, choreographer Marie-France Roy, likes to work together with young people, adults or elders with motor disabilities or intellectual disabilities. The association works with any type of institution: schools, retirement homes, hospitals, psychiatric institutions… These collaborations are born of poetic and full educational materials. This difference based on difference promotes intergenerational exchange, breaks the clichés and develops a new body consciousness. Note that a superb testimony to Marie-France's work exists in the form of a documentary entitled "I am well, I steal". Released by France 3 in 2016, this film is still visible via the association's website.
