13th century fortress with various medieval buildings and gardens in Angers
The 13th-century fortress, built on a slate hilltop with a breathtaking view over Angers, is home to a number of medieval buildings and a variety of gardens, including a vegetable garden, a hanging herb garden, a rose garden, a vineyard and a hydrangea garden. Admire the UNESCO-listed Apocalypse tapestry, the largest in the world: 100 meters of virtuoso weaving! Thematic tours are scheduled throughout the year. Access is via the pretty Bout du Monde promenade.

Très déçus par l’audioguide, qui se contente de décrire des éléments architecturaux, sans anecdote ni histoire concrète. Dommage, il y a sans doute beaucoup à raconter sur le lieu !
