Restaurant offering a family cuisine with fish and south-western specialities, home-made desserts.

What if you went out of the sightseeing tours and the centre of Biarritz to discover the Bibi Beaurivage district? Historically popular, it remains the haunt of many Biarrots. Just a stone's throw from the breathtaking view of the Côte des Basques is this small, completely renovated restaurant, with family cuisine and specialities from the South-West and fish: le Crabe-Tambour. Here you come looking for authenticity and simplicity. But also taste! Generally speaking, everything that has to do with seafood is worthwhile: fish soup is a must, fish parillada and hake with fresh chorizo are a must, the brochette of prawns is excellent, perfectly cooked chipirons and fresh tagliatelle with seafood are a delight, not forgetting oven-baked camembert flambéed with armagnac, Euskadi prawns, sweetbreads with porcini mushrooms... And home-made desserts. Wine list with the secrets of the moment.

Best meal in France this trip so far! Goats cheese salad superb. Great wine and beer for reasonable price and waiter thoughtful, efficient and very pleasant.

Cuisine de bonne qualité à base de produits frais. Service très sympathique. La terrasse extérieure n'est pas grande donc on se retrouve facilement en intérieur l'été. Bonne sélection de vins locaux et j'ai aussi goutté au Patxaran, le digestif basque à base de prunelles sauvages et d'alcool anisé. Je recommande cette adresse

Superbe cuisine à ne pas manquer à Biarritz. Les plats sont très bons, les moules à la plancha sont fabuleuses et l'axoa de veau vaut le détour. Un peu d'attente, mais c'est rapidement pardonné quand on goûte à la qualité des plats. Des prix tout à fait raisonnables également
