HÔTEL BEAUMANOIR * * * * *
Hotel in Biarritz with rooms, suites and apartments.
How to transform stables (even the most beautiful in the world) that once belonged to the Marquise of Moratella, into Castles and Hotels Collections? A question that Frédéric Hubert, the owner of the premises, no doubt asked himself, to which he gave a quick answer: heavy work that led to the creation of this little gem that seems to have always existed. Four bedrooms, two suites and two apartments, fitted out with warm carpets, bathrooms always sober and stylish. Here we are out of time in the temple of luxury.

One of the better places we have stayed in France, they are keen to point out that it's 5-Star but felt like a push. place is nicely decorated, not everyones taste but fun and fine for a hotel.
Location ok, not close to town but 10m drive, reception helped with parking etc. it's about 30m to walk (but though housing estate)
Rooms comfortable, bedding etc. all fine, we
We were amazed by how tight the hotel were for an expensive place... on day 2 we were told that the bottle of water in the room wouldn't be replaced, and that we only got one nespresso pod per day... so we went to the shops and left some in the hotel for anybody who fancies a second cup :-). This was a bit of a theme, the shower gel etc. never got replaced, if we wanted a cup of tea we had to pay €9... so we just ended up spending our time away from the hotel.
We booked on a non-cancellation, which is fine, but when we asked if we could move the booking a day earlier they charged us another €100... we'd understand but the hotel was no more than 30% full at best.... but you get the theme here.
The staff working in the hotel were great, realy nice - they really tried to help out, and they seemed to understand that we were frustrated by the hotel 'policies'
bit of a shame, we ended up just using the room and nothing else, which seems a waste..... the hotels not far of being really good, but when you are charging €400+ per night, a bowl of apples on reception or a few bits in a minibar seem a reasonable ask.
Un court séjour qui donne envie de revenir pour une plus longue période.
