A pedestrian beach with a monumental sculpture overlooking the Grande Plage, one of Biarritz's most beautiful vantage points.

As its name suggests, it's one of the town's most beautiful vantage points. Like a belvedere overlooking the ocean, it overlooks the Grande Plage and offers a splendid panorama, with the lighthouse in the line of sight. Completely pedestrianized, it now boasts a monumental geometric sculpture by artist Jorge Oteiza, Euzkal Baseria, entitled "La ferme basque" ("The Basque farm"). The many strollers can't fail to notice this eye-catching work of art! And on the square, boutiques, patisseries, cafés and restaurants with numerous terraces are all worth a try.
