THE CHURCH
Go there and contact
To reach it you pass the town hall on the right and the pediment on the left: this is the typical pattern of any Basque village. The white church, according to the ancient tradition facing east, is charming. It has a typical porch. Formerly known as the capitular, it housed the parish assemblies and sometimes it was used as a school. The fortified bell tower dates back to the 16th century. In the church there is a golden baroque altarpiece from the 18th century, a wooden Christ from the 16th century, a Serbo-Croatian baptismal font, a gift from Queen Natalia of Serbia, and a precious piece: a statue of St. James in pilgrim costume, made of solid oak from the 16th century. Discoid stelae in the parish cemetery.
