Espiatet means "the place from which one sees" in Béarnais. This reflects the natural setting surrounding the gîte where the Pyrenees, the greenery and the animals put on a show! Very quiet, the site is ideal for relaxing, and its open view of the mountain, at 360°, has made its reputation. On the ground floor, you enter a superb living room with a beautiful light leather lounge. This common room with fireplace and television is accessible to you; next to it there is a room reserved for people with reduced mobility. Upstairs, by a beautiful wooden staircase, you arrive in one of the 4 bedrooms; some of them, semi attic, are covered with wainscotting. Others have balconies or terraces but all have their own colour which inspired their name. Finally, for lovers of good food, the table displays the terroir. Céline's specialities are garbure, magrets, confits, raclette with farm cheese. Gourmets will appreciate his homemade desserts: fruit tart, floating island or custard, your host will pamper you from breakfast with jams and yoghurts of his own! L'Espiatet is a charming guesthouse located 20 minutes from Spain, a pied-à-terre to keep in mind.
