ECOMUSEUM OF THE ASPE VALLEY
The Hospitalet de Borce is now part of the entire ecomuseum of the Aspe valley. This branch is interested in the pilgrimage route. In fact, since the Middle Ages, it is registered as a stopover on the way to Santiago de Compostela, a place of contemplation and information for travellers. The museum seeks to make a story of pilgrimage, evokes the origins, the current and past motivations of the pilgrims as well as their journey conditions. The visit begins with the chapel of the 12th century to the rhythm of polyphonic songs and discover the origin and the history of the pilgrimage to Compostela. Elements related to the famous route are exposed and some curiosities as it bell mould dating from the 17th century, the routes of the passage of the soldiers of Napoléon... New, the traced history, comfortably set with audiovisual terminals.
