L'Atelier du Piquessary is an arts and crafts workshop located in Boucau. Owner François Bignon creates folding and straight knives using traditional methods and quality materials such as steel, precious metals, Western and exotic woods, fossilized ivory, warthog tusk, deer antler and horn. François Bignon acquired his skills by training as a cutler in Nogent, passing a CAP with Laurent Gaillard, and training with renowned craftsmen such as André Racinoux and Christian Avakian. He was awarded the title of Master Craftsman in Craftsmanship in 2013. The workshop offers aesthetic and functional knives for a variety of uses, including outdoor activities, hunting, camping, sports and cooking. Knives are available for sale and can be customized according to customer preferences and needs. François Bignon has also been offering cutlery training courses since 2000.
