AUBERGE DE LA FORÊT
Inn with terrace serving a buffet of hors d'oeuvres, cheese and homemade dessert
Recently taken over by Christelle and Régis Fouassier, the Auberge de la Forêt caters as much to local workers as to strollers who believe - and rightly so - that a working-class menu has many advantages, starting with the price. At the time of our visit, an old-fashioned blanquette and a salmon pavé were a pleasant way to satiate yourself between the buffet of hors d'oeuvres and cheese, followed, as it should be, by a homemade dessert. Located between Saint-Berthevin and Montjean, this recently renovated restaurant boasts a shaded terrace in summer. As for the owner, she always has a kind word for the customer, whom she shakes hands with as they cross the threshold of her home.
