BELLIÈRE'S CASTLE
The castel of the Bellière seigneury was built in 1478 and since then has benefited from extensive expansions and beautification. In 1650, a central castle flanked by two high-caliber pavilions was high between courtyard and garden. In 1690, Emmanuel de Vaucelles and Marie-Madeleine de la Fournerie moved to the Château de La Bellière. In 1790, Emmanuel Alexandre de Vaucelles began a work campaign that lasted 25 years, especially by Delarue, of Alençon, later became one of the architects of the Bonaparte family. After the end of the big work, eight years (1802-1810) will be required to paint the lounges and then the dining room. 1813 saw the transformation of the classic garden into English. During the 1999 storm, it was severely damaged. Since work is carried out, he has been able to find his design at the time.
The entire castle, the communes, the gardens and the park are inscribed in the supplementary inventory of Historic Monuments and the recent restoration work was rewarded by the Regional Prize of the Old Houses of France in 2012.
