Former restaurant with terrace offering quality French cuisine
After almost thirty years of loyal service, chef Jean Pinon has handed in his apron and sold his famous brasserie to Franck Rénier, who has opened "Le 2M" in place of his predecessor. He perpetuates the French culinary quality so envied the world over, but expands his predecessor's menu. The local specialty, tête de veau with gribiche sauce, is still on the menu. New dishes such as tournedos de fois gras and, for dessert, Grand Marnier soufflé have been added. The décor has also been refurbished. The upstairs hotel rooms no longer exist. Gone is the old-fashioned classicism (Senate red carpeting) that characterized the old restaurant: at 2M, customers are welcomed into an 80-seat room with a modern design and oval-seated armchairs, typical of trendy places. Cool colors line the walls, with green mixed with purple and beige to give the place a chic feel. The terrace has also been given a life-saving facelift, with a side barbecue that will delight customers on a summer's evening. It should be noted that 2M also takes orders for special events, as it is also a caterer.
