LE CARRÉ, SCÈNE NATIONALE

The Square, a national scene since 2002, has as its mission to assert itself as a place of national reference arts in the fields of contemporary culture; to organise the dissemination and confrontation of artistic forms by favouring contemporary creation; to participate in its settlement area (in Mayenne and Haut-Anjou), a cultural development action favouring "new attitudes towards artistic creation and a better social integration of it". The Square project focuses more specifically on artist residences in the fields of theatre, dance and plastic arts. Today it develops an artistic season of 40 performances for a hundred performances, strong times, theme days, appointments around shows with the public.
