CHAPEL DU GENÊTEIL CENTRE D'ART CONTEMPORAIN
Chapel converted into a contemporary art center with personal or group exhibitions, paintings, sculptures, theaters
The Genêteil Chapel, built in 1120 by the Benedictine monks of Saint-Nicolas d'Angers, has become a center for contemporary art within the national stage Le Carré, a cultural space since 1991. Young artists and recognized talents are invited for solo or group exhibitions. The chapel hosts about four exhibitions per year, mixing various art forms, such as painting, sculpture, sound and video, or dance and theater. All this in a place with inspiring architecture and history!
