Their existence was already reported in the th century. They were at the centre of commercial relations for a large flax market that fostered local weaving and that of Laval. Processions, news cupboards, recruitment of domestic workers also made it the heart of public life. In 1850, they were rebuilt. The building is impressive, both by its length and its volume, and beautifully enhanced by night lighting.
