Basque cake: a must in the Basque Country! So it's only logical that every year, on the first weekend in October, 2 days of festivities are dedicated to this culinary art. No fewer than 20,000 visitors are expected in the spa town of Cambo-les-Bains. The program? Cooking workshops to learn how to make the famous cake, tastings, sales and a competition for the best Basque cake. The festival is all about sharing and conviviality. Musicians, craftsmen, producers, pastry chefs... You'll come across the Confrérie du Gâteau Basque in the streets.
