Producers of PDO Espelette chillies since 2011 on 3 hectares in Cambo-les-Bains, Mélanie and Jean-Baptiste carry out all stages of production, from seed selection to processing and marketing. They offer tours of their farm and discovery workshops: the tasting tour (1h) or the gourmet workshop tour and gourmet aperitif! Integrated farmers par excellence, they produce pimento powder, jelly, fine Guérande salt, condiments, jams... A must during your stay.

Farm visit and workshops by appointment. Chilli cultivation discovery workshop 1h: €10. Gourmet workshop 2h : 22 €. Children under 10: 1/2 price. Tickets and reservations at Cambo Tourist Office. Groups: birthdays, EVJF... contact Kultur Piment directly. Also 2 comfortable apartments (T2 + T3) from 350 to 600 €/week.

Our chillies
We have 9 hectares of fields around the farm and we devote 3 hectares to growing Piment d'Espelette PDO. This allows us to change fields and let the soil rest every three years.
Cambo-les bains in the Basque Country is one of only 10 communes to benefit from PDO status, thanks to a subtropical microclimate with mild summer temperatures and generous annual rainfall
. We work as a family (husband and wife),
using seasonal workers to help with planting, field maintenance, picking, de-stemming and packaging. Our two daughters, Louise and Camille, like to take part, one preferring to be on the premises for tailing and packing, the other preferring to be outside in the greenhouse and in the fields. They both have a place in the production cycle.Our offers and services
Our Piment d'Espelette PDO tasting workshops
We invite you to visit our farm, at the heart of Espelette PDO chili production! We'll start with a tour of the farm (depending on the season) and explanations of the different stages of production.
We'll then move into a kitchen workshop. We'll taste Piment d'Espelette PDO powder and by-products. We'll also find out which product is best used in which kitchen.
You'll also have the opportunity to ask us questions.
Youhave two options:
the Workshop Discovery Tastingincluding a tour and tasting of Kultur Piment products;
the Gourmet Tasting Workshopincluding a tour and a gourmet spicy aperitif, as well as advice on how to use the products and recipe cards to prolong the pleasure of tasting at home.
Kultur Piment welcomes you from April 23 to November 26, 2024,Tuesdays at 10:30 am and 2:30 pm for the Discovery Tasting Workshop (Duration 1h, except 09/07), Thursdays at 10:30 am for the Gourmet Tasting Workshop (Duration 2h, except 09/05, 04/07, 11/07 and 15/08).
Must be booked with the Cambo-les-Bains Tourist Office.

Discovery tasting workshop lasting 1h, including a visit to the farm (discovery of the cultivation of Piment d'Espelette PDO, its history, production stages, etc.) and a tasting of Kultur Piment products: €10/person, half-price for children under 10, free under 3.
Gourmet tasting workshop lasting 2 hours, including a visit to the farm (discovery of the cultivation of Piment d'Espelette PDO, its history, production stages, etc.) and a tasting of Kultur Piment products over a gourmet aperitif, as well as advice on how to use the products and recipe cards to prolong the pleasure of tasting at home. price: €22/person, half-price for children under 10, free for children under 3.
