ÉGLISE SAINT-LAURENT
This church is one of the most typical Basque churches in the Labourd region, with its unique nave
Listed as a Monument Historique, Saint-Laurent church dates back to the 17th century and is one of the most typical of the Labourd Basque churches, with its single nave. Although rather ordinary on the outside, the church is full of surprises. You'll discover its raised altar, its listed altarpiece and its superimposed galleries of carved wood, as well as the discoidal and tabular steles all around. The church has undergone numerous alterations, including the replacement of its former triangular bell tower by the current one at the end of the 19th century.
